Crystalline

In the night every sound was muted, everything was quiet. The white snow floats gently down. Hands raised up towards my face, the snow that was flowing melts in an instance as more falls. What a sad way it all ends... the words spoke in the young man's mind as he slept. Sage Fleed, a young man of twenty-one, awoke from his restless slumber as he lay his back atop a soft bed of tall, green and golden grass. He sat up from where he laid, his short, ebony locks twitching in the light morning breeze that blew past. It was not the bright rays of morning sunlight that woke Sage, but instead the cryptic message he heard within his mind. He could vaguely recall what the words had spoken to him, but disgarded them as he moved to a squating position before standing up. He dusted whatever dirt and grime he could spot on his black, short-sleeved jacket that cut halfway down his chest. He straightened his white shirt, its sleeves rolled-up, reaching his elbows beneath his pair of elbow pads. He dusted off his ebony pants as well as the matching coloured chaps worn over top of them. Finally, after fixing his sheathed wide-bladed broadsword to his left hip, Sage packed what little he had before heading off to from where the sun arose, the cloudless sky hanging high above him.
